yeah, you're right. I'm just still caught up in all the emotions of Paul Walker's passing.

Also, every time I see the CGI elves in the trailers it takes me out of the game for a second.

If you equate movie making to being basically a really artful form of lying, where success means convincing a willing and participatory audience for at least the length of the lie itself, then the last movie was chock full of special effect moments that were basically pauses to say, "By the way I'm totally lying about this." Not on a Star Wars prequel level, but it was a lot more than could hope to be justified.

I'm hoping for so much less of that this time around.

I hated the 1st one. jackson slept through most of the making of the film, right? The CGI is brutal. Why is LOTR so much better? Someone in the know please tell me
