Mandela will probably warrant a WMA tag tonight.

Re: [Fantasy League] Pearl Jam NA Tour (Leg 2) 2013
Yeah the closers was just an idea and thought we'd try it out this tour, but yeah I don't like it, I really don't like the 2nd Song either but if they're going to keep playing Pendulum as Majority Opener, it kind of kills the Opener points.MattA75 wrote:# of songs per show is a good idea
not a big fan of set closer/enc 1 closer/show closer...just because I'd say 85% of these shows saw RVM close the reg set and Porch close enc 1 (Porch was probably more like 95%, and RVM was prob more like 75% but still)
I think a set number of one time only mulligans with the rule Rick suggested (a #1 has to be played lower than a #1 the second time around could work)
i.e. Even Flow is your #1, they don't play it...so you put it as your #2 the next night...if the band somehow brain farts and skips it two nights in a row, then you're SOL...maybe 3 mulligans like that for the leg?
lastly, re: Cinderellas: maybe view these like dmbalmanac does with Dave Matthews Band, where they have a list of songs that haven't been played, but it's only things that haven't been played in a 1,000 days or more (unless they've changed it, I haven't been over there recently)...maybe do a 1,000 days or 1,200 days or something for Cinderellas? 2010 doesn't seem that long ago but we would be coming up on 4 years for those shows by the time the band hits Europe next summer
I'd try Number of songs for Australia but these 6 shows are the BDO festival, I don't like festival shows.

This is a good idea, less mulligan chances for higher picks. and coupled with you can't play it as the same Pick number the 2nd time. I mean if you've missed out on 35pts for a song, I don't think you should be able to try again and get 35pts on your 2nd try.CopperTom wrote:I think you need more restrictions. I don't think you should get a mulligan on your #1 misses. Maybe 1 #1 pick mulligan and 2 #2 pick mulligans and so on.
What I'd do with this is you pick one tag a nightI would prefer a tag pick. So if you play Corduroy a night, you can then play Interstellar Overdrive (Corduroy) as your tag. You would have to plan this out since they only tag about a dozen songs - Betterman, Daughter, Porch, Yellow Led better, Crown of Thorns, Not For You and depending on your perspective Life Wasted and MFC. If you plan poorly, you can't make a pick.
# of songs per show would be a good 5 point bonus per night too.
Think I'm going to try this for Australia tour instead of closer.
Yeah I was just testing the Closer pick out this time, I don't like it either. My least favorite part of the current system is closer. I think a rotation of Set 1 closer, Encore 1 closer and show closer would be more interesting.
What I do like about this time is that we had next to no Goose Eggs, and that's exactly what I was trying to avoid. I wanted people to get points (few or many) on every concert.

No we'll keep Cinderellas. I'm just saying I'm not opening up songs played since 2010.numbers wrote:I don't have a problem with keeping cindarellas next leg, they used to be rare and they'll just go back to that again.
7 Cinderellas hit this leg. SEVEN.
I guess we still have around 40 Originals and Covers to pull from.

I mean I just want input in revamping, I don't want to just change it without input.
I mean this league has been around since like the 2003 tour, and really its worked flawless, what's not broken don't fix.
But Discography is getting larger and etc etc.

The league came down to the last song of the tour. Thanks, it was very fun.

Thanks for keeping up with this Rick.
I feel pretty good about my placement in the standings consider my run of minimal points.

Yeh I agree with gutuphalfdead, keep it simple. Picks, an opener and closer, a Cindy, and guess the albums This mulligan stuff and anything else is superfluous
