I remember reading a quote from Jeff about how much they rehearsed before that tour. They knew it was a big deal to do a tour that long so they rehearsed a huge amount before the tour and got into really good physical shape.

It shows.

I don't think they'll ever do a tour that long again so I doubt we'll hear the band that tight ever again.

Phoenix and San Diego are pretty good, Portland is near-great, as is Vancouver. I haven't heard any of the other shows but the further along in the tour they get the tighter they are (which you should expect). I sampled a bit of the Vancouver show and it's pretty great.
Phx and SD audience recordings, they sound pretty great. Excited for great sounding versions of the shows.
Does suck it takes them a bit to get going.

My friend bought both Worcester shows in mp3 format. He tried putting them on his Android phone and they weren't showing up. Only the 2nd half of the 2nd show is tagged. lol

Both Brooklyn shows are now up for sale. Night II is a 3-CD set and costs a dollar more (for the physical copy; digital remains the same).

I made a post yesterday about my box set shipping. It got deleted. I wasn't bullshitting. I got the email from the 10C. Maybe for once the box set people will get their prize first. I'll keep everyone informed.

If that's the case, then I hope the second leg gets put out more quickly than 1-2 shows per week!

If not, that means I'll be getting Seattle months early.

Just an fyi, it wasn't deleted because of its content. We lost almost a whole days worth of posts yesterday when the board crashed.

I haven't listened to it straight through yet. Been skipping around. But it sounds amazing. Almost too clear. Ed's vocals are very prominent in the mix. I haven't heard a bootleg this clear in a while and it's taken some getting used to. Also, at the concert I remember the guitars sounding a little more aggressive than what's coming across on the boot. Like everyone has said, this is a huge step up from the 2008 - 2010 boots. Looking forward to checking out a few more from later in the tour. After I listen, I'll do a quick review in the "what bootleg are you listening to" thread.

Can you clearly hear the audience singing along? That's one of my favorite parts

Audience is not that high in the mix. You can hear the audience, but not like in the Madison Square Garden 2010 boot. Not even close. Even the parts where Ed has the audience take over, e.g. Nothingman, its not as loud as previous years.

I'm listening to it in full right now. I'm at All Those Yesterdays. To be honest, it's been a painful listen at times. I had a great experience at the show, but the performance hasn't come across well on the boot. The band sounds really tight, but Ed sounds off. He's very breathy and his voice cracks quite a bit. With how loud the croud was I didn't notice it at the show. On the boot it's obvious.

ah, that's lame, the audience was one of the best parts I dunno why they'd turn it low, that's a huge part of the entire experience

I just finished it and it definitely got better as it went on. Surprisingly, the more Ed drank, the better he sounded. It's as if the blood of Jesus helped him get in tune. Pendulum just came on again, and the crowd is barely audible compared to other opening songs on official bootlegs.

Having the audience higher in the mix is always going to be a trade-off in terms of quality; I'd much prefer to hear the band clearly than the crowd.

I concur. There are audience recordings around so you can appreciate both. I much prefer the feeling of the audience recording of the Shepherds Bush show but the official release sounds clearer and gets more plays.

Agreed, I'd rather have the boot sound good than be able to hear the better man singalong

I guess I could see that but for me the audience participation often makes the show.

When I first got into the band I had heard Elderly Woman once or twice and never liked it. I heard a version from one of the European tours, and hearing the crowd so loud on every word finally made the song sink in for me and since then it's been one of my favorite songs, top 3 probably. I dunno, that synergy between band and audience is one of the best thing about their live performances.

Especially now that Eddie doesn't sound like what he once did. In Brooklyn 2 though, being there live, my first amazing memory of the night is (besides the excitement for Wash) when Nothingman came on and EVERYBODY in the section sang it loudly. It really made it so special. Eddie isn't at his best now but with that response from the crowd it really brought the concert to special levels.

To me, hearing just the band mostly is boring. They sound better on the albums if that's what you want, and it's not like you CAN'T hear them with audience recordings. I was just hoping for something with really good quality recording...I guess I should be worried haha because I heard some audience recording and thought the crowd sounded too soft on it and was looking forward to the official release to show some of my friends how special the concert was, but now I guess it won't really come across

I listened to Brooklyn 2 today.

It was, by some margin, the best performance I've heard from the band so far on this tour (though not without some issues)...but I don't know, it just wasn't very enjoyable to listen to regardless.

It's oddly hard to reconcile the band I hear on this show with the same guys who played that music in 1993, 1996 or 2000.

Yeah, that.
