2014 Tour Rumours

BeerBaron was the guy that posted the Toronto rumour for May and he's super reliable, broke the 2009 Toronto rumour way before it was announced if I recall. Also, the KC and STL rumours I saw were specific about May.

I've seen a few other people post Canadian rumours but not sure where it started. There are no rumblings here in Winnipeg for a show, and if they tour Canada I don't imagine they'd skip us being that Winnipeg sold well in 2005 and 2011. Maybe if they tour in May there will be a couple Canadian dates mixed in like this year.

I thought Lollapalooza might be on the table, but I'm not sure they'd play shows the size of Lolla and Wrigley two years in a row.

I've ignored most of the springtime Canadian / US rumors. Can you fill me in? Full leg or just a warmup for Euro? Start date? End date?

I have a destination bachelor party at the end of April, so this could really suck.

I don't have sources or anything, just trying to piece together info from the various boards. A few ppl have posted the rumour of Canadian shows in the spring but I haven't seen anyone mention specific cities or dates which has left me skeptical at best. Toronto for two shows in May seems to be the only legit rumour right now for North American shows. I think everyone is just assuming there will be another let with Matt skipping the Soundgarden shows next year.

I'm not expecting any North American dates until early spring, but I agree, it'd be nice to hear "there will be North American/U.S./Canada dates next year."

No doubt, but that would put the show on 03.August at the latest. With the last confirmed EU date on 11.July, that would make for a very short tour.

No doubt, but that would put the show on 03.August at the latest. With the last confirmed EU date on 11.July, that would make for a very short tour.

My guess is that Lolla could be a stand-alone date with maybe a 10c only show similar to 2007. Most of the headliners in past years (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age) have played club shows on the Thursday night like PJ did. Based on what Logan5 said about more US dates coming soon, the tour might be in May.

Metallica is also heavily rumored on the Lolla board since they aren't doing Orion this year.

I would be very pleasantly surprised by 2014 US dates. I am not expecting anything.
