Hey guys. I scored a backstage pass and got my picture taken with Jeff.
Jeff is muscular...like at age 50 now I think it's fair to say he has old man strength.
That is all.

OK, I haven't done this in a while and I'm going to need a refresher. The pic is on my PC desktop. Do I need to host it somewhere online before I can post here?VinylGuy wrote:can we see the pic?Bammer wrote:Hey guys. I scored a backstage pass and got my picture taken with Jeff.

I was able to avoid the ridiculous 3+ hour pre-show merch line by going to the bathroom during the encore break, and going by the merch table that had zero people in line. Grabbed a poster in 2 minutes, pissed, and was back to my seat before the first song of the encore.
Suckas.
Suckas.

Re: 2013-12-06: Key Arena: Seattle, Washington
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the board and anyone I met in Seattle who gave me trip advice. I had really great time.
I checked out (or bumped into) The Off Ramp, Benneroya Hall, Moore Theater, Paramount and The Showbox. I spent far too long near or in the Showbox. I ate at the Seaside - highlight Hot and Spicy Shrimp Soup; McCormick and Schmicks - highlight Oregon Rockfish (they don't have that in PA); Wild Ginger - highlight 7 flavor beef; and the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle - highlight spinning. I also snacked at Top Pot - I was very pleased about the Maple Bars; Yellow Leaf - Pancake and Bacon cupcakes were fantastic and I brought back Bacon Brittle for friends, family and coworkers; Pirosky Pirosky - had some sort of hazelnut danish; I also had a Nutty Buddy at some fancy chocolate-dipping place; had a coffee at the original Starbucks. Unfortunately, I did not get to eat a Hom Bow. I walked by Mee Sum's 4 times - twice very early in the morning and twice in the evening after it was closed. I got to see them throw a fish at the market.
I spent far more hours in lines than I anticipated - 1 at Ames, 3 on show-day for a poster and 3 for the 10C Pop Up. Luckily, everyone I spoke to for hours was very cool. I was most surprised that most fans who were at Vancouver had very luke-warm feelings towards it - it looked fantastic on paper. I think I was nerding some fans out with my Live-PJ knowledge. I was called the Encyclopedia, LOL. I missed out on Kerry Park as a result of my many hours in line.
My Stub-Hub ticket was real. Props to the fan at Key Arena who sold me a sticker after the stand we were at just sold out. For only $2 no less. Crowd seemed relatively chill. It was pretty cool behind the stage - it's worth the unique perspective. It only sucked when the lowered the light rigs. I was also close enough to notice a Go Cam on one of the globes. That would be interesting footage to see.
I thought the people of Seattle were very nice and polite. Mean bums though. I would definitely go back.

You were quite the tourist. Too bad it wasn't baseball season. Our stadium really is nice and it's not exactly the toughest ticket in town these days.

I saw the stadium up close when I went to the Ames pop-up-shop. Looked nice from the outside. I would have loved to catch a game. As a Braves fan, I lucked out this summer - PJ was at Wrigley and the Braves were at Commisky.

It would have been cool to meet more of you guys over the years. Only met a handful of RMers at/before shows.
For this Seattle show, ran into a guy who recognized me from a show like 4-5 years ago in the bar across the street. Turns out I sat (stood) right in front of him. We bought each other shots. Good times.
