finally started catching up with this show again; needed some drama since boardwalk empire and the walking dead are over/ending soon. stayed up til 3am watching season 2; just a couple more to go. i've heard the carrie is crazy thing can kinda wear on the viewer, but so far so good.

They are starting to focus too much on her craziness.

Probably a good a way as any to end it. I say that should be it, another season would be like season 3 of Prison Break.

I agree it's a good way to end it, but it's completely unexpected. I haven't heard anything about the show being on the bubble and they basically swapped out their entire cast sans Claire. It would be a complete reboot, not even in the 'Homeland', which would be unfortunate since the "take them all" scene in s03.ep01 could have opened up a lot of good plot points for Blondie saves America.

I think it is coming back for another season. I suspect Dar Adal and Sen. Lockhart will be bigger characters. Quinn too, probably. And no way Saul stays away.

Also:
Spoiler: show
Does this mean we don't have to see Brody's daughter any more, now that he's out of the picture?

First thing I said when the show ended was "The show should just end like this, it wrapped up the series perfectly". At this point there's no reason to keep it going. Thought it was a great last episode and thinking back it seemed to be written in a way that suggests that it's the end.

Actually, I just read a Hollywood Reporter article (take it for what it's worth) that says:
Spoiler: show
Dana and Jessica won't be back next season, but there is another season happening.

It will be back. It saw a decent ratings jump this season and it's the anchor of Showtime's line-up.

I'm glad Brody is dead. This show is all about Claire Danes. It could be the Claire Danes Cooking Hour and I'd watch... and she'd probably win an Emmy.

That bit of dialogue where she was like "I believe I was put on this earth for us to meet" was the shittiest of the series, but yeah, she should win. She is basically in a league of her own with this character.

That was a very strong finale and im exited to see where they are taking us next season, specially if the show is going to focus on Carrie and her problems...Saul being happy after he used her and Brody? I think its a fair thought to see him involved in something new with Carrie.

Great show.

I got the impression that he was no longer part of the show with his exit scene. Plus, how is it "Homeland" if it's in Turkey? Maybe if Carrie becomes the villain and comes back to the states...
