Nothing new here folks..you think he did this for money?? They are not releasing this as a single with Rihanna doing a rap bridge or something..

Jeez, this place.. :shake:
be honest, how long until something like that happens?
:haha:

You guys need to relax a little...Anyway, Im looking forward to the movie.
I am certain of two things:

1. Most of us will live to see a collaboration between at least one member of Pearl Jam and a Rihanna equivalent pop starlet.
2. Stip won't get what all the fuss is about.

His children aren't PJ songs.

Y'know, if you take the first statement and replace "kids" with "PJ songs" songs and "parent" with "fan," it really does become a stip post.

Once the first one got to 9 months it got a lot easier, and at 2 years I really enjoy it.
I love my kids dearly, but I don't particularly enjoy being a parent.

It's different for everyone and you can't enjoy every moment. But to stay sane you have to see a positive everyday.

Maybe he was moved and wanted to gift the performance to the movie to help differentiate it from the Ten version? Maybe 23 years out he is comfortable enough with his past to experiment with it? Doesn't seem like something worth getting that worked up about.
I'm not really sure who's getting that worked up about it. .

this might be the single most disappointing thing pearl jam has ever done. they might as well make a video for 'black' now. im floored by this.
It's a nice performance, seems completely unnecessary, and something of a non-event.

At this point there's so much pissing and moaning on this board that I can't read any complaint without dragging all the rest into the thread--especially when usual suspects are posting. I can't even tell if people are serious about the money comment. But that's on me. RM has pretty much broken me
honestly, i understand how you feel about complaints on this board. people who dont even really like the band constantly post here and are looked up to like some kinda voice of reason. however, im not one of those people that constantly complains. yeah, i hate backspacer. ill shit on the fixer when i get the chance, but overall, i love pearl jam's music. i love it so much that im effected by this.

Relax Stip. I like the fixer and love the ST album. As much as I'm bitching here I'm seeing PJ next month and EdVed in Feb.

It's like bitching about your brother.

Oh no, not at Christmas. I was just taking a rare moment to bond with Spenno over something sentimental.

We already had that. The Japanese import of Ten had it as a separate track.
