We have a theater that gets movies after they have cooled off at the box office, basically somewhere before they come out on dvd and once upon a time it was just a dollar to see the movies, its 3 bucks now i think but people still call it the dollar theater

Wish we had something like that around here. We only seem to get free or cheap screenings of anything around Lord of The Rings release time....

Looks like Kurtzman and Orci will be returning to pen Star Trek for a third time. But Lindelof is out.

Still in the hands of the creative team that brought you Hercules.

Ironically, the whole reason they took the risk of killing Spock in the early 80's and creating the original Khan movie storyline was that they had a Star Trek movie out, it had turned out to be a box office success, but audiences were hit-and-miss in their reaction to it. What are the odds that "creating a new and interesting story" is at the top of the to-do list in response to Into Darkness?

I would imagine its top priority. But ending Into Darkness the way they did really sets that up, too. They can (and SHOULD) finally go full force into new territory. Their reboot/alt timeline concept was genius. Now it's time to take it someone entirely new.

And this coming from a guy who loved both of the new films.

The alt timeline was a really good way of doing a reboot. Very classy.

Totally agree. And I hope they continue to make little references to that. But I hope the next movie is a completely original storyline. i don't want to see them, for example, travel around the sun and back in time to save Shark Week or anything like that.

I enjoy the underlying implication that the action sequences in this movie are not disparate or distinct enough from one another to be able to ascertain where this still came from.

I'm sitting down to watch this again.

Here's one of the things that has always really bugged me about star trek. Why the hell does the captain of the Enterprise personally go on any of these missions, and why does the ship's doctor come with him? No wonder the entire fleet/command gets blown up in every movie. They're all morons.
