Did anybody like the new The Blow album? I thought it was her best yet. If you like any of the older stuff at all I'd suggest getting it. I like this song, but there are some others that are really outstanding on the album.

I just keep going back to this one too... Catchy stuff as it is. I like Jose Gonzalez's album 'Veneer' from a few years ago too. But this is a little different since its his band. Pretty solid disc though...

I'm a bit surprised Mudhoneys album Vanishing Point hasn't had more mentions. It's been one the their better albums post Lukin era.

I really liked Dream River and the newest Yo La Tengo album. Sleeper is currently playing, and it's probably going to turn out being one of my absolute favorite Ty Segall centric releases (there are so many...) I know there's a lot more I'm forgetting. Trouble Will Find Me, Cat Power (was that this year?), MBV, The Terror

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't heard the Boards of Canada and David Bowie yet.

Bowie's album has received some fantastic reviews, all of them are well deserved. you need to pick this album up and listen to it. I think you commented at the beginning of the year that you didn't like whichever single was released, and I admit it wasn't an instant hit for me either but I liked it enough to give the album a decent chance- it was worth it.
trust me on this one, read
