i like the packers' chances if lacy can go. the 1-2 punch of him and starks will be big in keeping the bears offense off the field.

Considering how much he's likely going to ask for in contract negotiations, B.J. Raji is gonna have to have the game of his life on Sunday for me to not think that they'd be better off letting him walk. Am I the only one who feels this way right now?

Tough call. It's not easy to find athletic guys that can be consistently good at that position is it? He's the anchor I that D. Granted it's not A very capable D right now, but....

Yeah, but it's hard not to think he has regressed significantly since 2010. I mean, I get that he's getting more attention now and he's surrounded by less talent on the line than he was in 2009 and 2010, but he hasn't made a big play since the NFC Championship game, has he? I know numbers can be very misleading, but some of his are damning to an extent, aren't they?
2010 - 29 Tackles, 10 Assisted Tackles, 6.5 Sacks
2011 - 14 Tackles, 8 Assisted Tackles, 3 Sacks
2012 - 16 Tackles, 10 Assisted Tackles, 0 Sacks
2013 - 11 Tackles, 4 Assisted Tackles 0 Sacks
No sacks since 2011 isn't the sign of a guy who's gonna end up getting as big of a payday as he is. He's a nice piece, but Clay Matthews he is not.

Yeah, but look at that hip movement. You can't teach that!

The guy's a nose tackle, he's not usually going to have notable stats or many plays on highlight reels. Those 2010 numbers are astronomical for that position. I'm not sure if he has regressed or not, but you're probably going to really need to study the tape to figure that out.Lament wrote:Yeah, but it's hard not to think he has regressed significantly since 2010. Re: The Green Bay Packers
But I think that's kind of the issue. I think he's a decent nose tackle who people overrate at this point because they think he's still capable of recreating what he did in 2010, which I don't think he is. I don't think he's gonna be worth what he ends up getting, and I'm starting to think I'd rather see another team risk that he is rather than watch the Packers take that chance.Green Habit wrote:The guy's a nose tackle, he's not usually going to have notable stats or many plays on highlight reels. Re: The Green Bay Packers
Nose tackle is one of the most difficult positions to fill in the NFL. Even if Raji is overrated I'm not sure if the Packers could find an adequate replacement elsewhere.Lament wrote:But I think that's kind of the issue. I think Raji got famous for one play. So I basically think he's overrated.
Speaking of the defense. Dom Capers might need to go.

I assume because they'll make the Bears prepare two different game plans.spike wrote:why hasn't he just been ruled out then, grumpy chrisChris_H_2 wrote:What a difference a week can makespike wrote:yeah, but that was a week ago.Chris_H_2 wrote:Schefter reported that he's not even close to being healed.spike wrote:decision on rodgers coming thursday
