Other than the Revolutionary War, what round did they lose?

They may yet have come out on the better end of that one. But then there was that whole Zulu thing.

Sure, sure. I thought we were only talking about vs the US of A, though.

New episode just finished. It was bloody excellent. Touch far fetched, but just delighted to have it back. Next one is on Sunday coming.

It was good. Somewhat odd ending but the reconciliation was more important than the case.

Who was that guy at the end?

Should it have its own thread? Okay, that's the last one, I promise.

I really hated the last episode. Detective Bell is a solid character, and his reaction to Sherlock's apology was childish. The whole episode's premise seemed weak.
Yeah, that was a strange end to the episode.

I had to keep pausing the episode in the beginning because I was laughing so much. Favorite part was the exasperation Holmes had while he was trying to do a grand flourish entrance as the waiter but John was too busy to notice, and then the parting line by Holmes when he went off to get wine. So good.

I really like this, but think it falls short of being in the top tier of Brit shows. Some of the acting isn't up to snuff and the cinematography isn't as interesting as shows like Broadchurch and Wallander.

But there's no doubt Cumberbatch and Freeman are fantastic. And development of the relationship between Holmes and Watson has been fun to watch.

Watching first ep right now. Looks like Netflix only has series 1.
edit: nevermind, found series 2 on Amazon Prime.

Presumably the guy behind Watsons kidnapping?

well yes. I didn't know if you knew who, if anyone, he was in greater sherlock lore. The only villains I knew have already appeared.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one but Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows was really enjoyable. I pretty much loved it. Thinking I should watch the first one again and give it another try.
