I still like this one a lot!

There's a handful of pretty good songs on here (MYM, Lightning Bolt, Swallowed Whole, Let the Records Play) and one that's fantastic (My Father's Son), it's a shame the production feels as though it's fighting against any of the band's personality pushing through the gleaming exterior.

The last three songs of the record remain unbearably dull, I'm fairly certain I'll never sit through them again.

Yellow Moon is fantastic and LTRP really is not.

This album has pretty much been a non-event for me.

I still really, really like it. I'm so happy with how it turned out, it makes Backspacer an aberration and not the beginning of Pearl Jam becoming strictly a nostalgia act.

While better than Backspacer, Lightning Bolt is still pretty shitty and consistent with their decline.

it is.

this is the only song ever where I ever thought (at the start of "round") it to be a perfect place to have a chorus of black lady back up singers. the song would, like, double

I can at least admit that Abattoir era Nick Cave would destroy the shit out of this song. The Pearl Jam take was unremarkable.

to gather a remarkable song even from an unremarkable take makes the song remarkable plus? (? or is my math off ?)

I wish they had done that. It would've been hilarious
