Reminds me of the irrational hatred No Code got back in the day. It was " the worst one" for a long time..it was cheaper than the others!

Agreed. Although I also thought the Fixer was a fun tune, so who knows?

Hatred and vitriol might be a little strong when it comes to the description of backspacer opinions around here, but when there's that many disappointing songs crammed onto a 36 minute record, it's an easy target.

I loved No Code when it came out. But, I thought Who You Are was an awesome first single ahead of the album release, we had the album cut of Habit as its b-side, and live versions of Lukin, Red Mosquito, and Habit, too.

So, I had heard 1/3 of the album prior to its release. Plus Hail Hail, In My Tree, and Present Tense were all immediate favorites for me. Introspective and unique Pearl Jam was always my PJ of choice.
