5 miles in 38 minutes
I ran about an hour and a half after eating a huge meal at an awesome Mexican place. I felt like puking the entire time. Terrible. Streak is now at two runs in a row. I'm an unstoppable force! 10-miler today.

Re: The Work-Out Thread
Major lower back strain from sumo deadlifts yesterday. Couldn't bend over at all last night and really struggled sleeping. Thought I wouldn't make it into work today, much less make it to the gym the rest of the week. I dead lift 2 times a week and have never had a problem. Wondering if the holiday sloth caught up to me.
Ibuprofen and applying blue emu oil every few hours. It already feels a lot better, should be able to work out today after all.

I might just walk around tonight stabbing people. No running or working out if you are bleeding to death, amirite? That'll teach them. I went to the gym after work yesterday and it was completely empty. I'm sure tomorrow will suck finding space on the equipment I want.Chloe wrote:I might just walk around tonight stabbing people. The first 2 weeks of January are generally horrible. Thankfully, I work out mid-day so I really don't see as much of the resolution warriors as I would after work.

Re: The Work-Out Thread
It's usually mid-February for my gym to get back to its regulars. The past couple weeks have been real nice but that time is nearly over.

You're a keen one who has obviously read this thread religiously and has noticed the support I give to runners regardless of their abilities. Thanks for noticing!

7.5 miles with 1,200 feet in elevation change in 65 minutes
Back at my favorite trail. Went out fast and crushed the climb to the saddle, then suffered on the backside of the mountain. 31 split for the first half. 34 for the second half. Despite the fade, it was a beautiful day on the mountain. 70ish with a cool breeze. Shirtless on December 31. Love AZ winters.
