I'm sure it will be fine, Brett seems to know his stuff. The 90s live material we already have that he's mixed (Vegas 1993, Washington 1995, Live on Two Legs, etc.) sounds great.

One of those interesting rites of passage with new Pearl Jam albums in the 90s: getting the CD single a few weeks before the album release and playing those 2 songs on repeat for more than any of your friends/neighbors/family could possibly stand. On Yield, this was the Given to Fly/Pilate single.
Faithful is my favorite on Yield currently. It has a looseness to it (Jack Irons?) that is really unique for what is in a lot of ways a straight up rocker. Always loved the In Hiding and Lowlight pair as well though....

Yeah, but it was a download. I miss the physical discs. I think Backspacer had The Fixer/Supersonic 7" before Backspacer was released, so maybe the reminiscing was displaced. Plus, I think I remember that Yield was one of the first albums to leak before it was released. I still remember I held out for the CD because I wanted the full experience...which I still do to this day.

I still remember the excitement when I bought this record. It has so much great songs, it is very balanced because you see gems like: In Hiding, All Those Yesterdays, No way, DTE from Stone; Faithfull, Brain if J, GTF from Mike; Low Light, Pilate from Jeff; Wishlist, MFC from Eddie; and even an experimental oddity as The Color Red from Jack. Great album, 5 stars in my opinion, the last record with 5 stars in my opinion, and coincidentally their last album with platinum status.
The more time that passes, the more I realize just how great Yield is. They almost managed to return to this level, with S/T landing just a few rungs below the ladder from Yield, but this album has more balance from beginning to end, no fillers, and some of their best tracks in Faithfull, No Way, Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, In Hiding, All Those Yesterdays

Yield is always at the top when I rank the albums. It is just so good from beginning to end. It came out during my senior year of high school and I was still listening every day when college started. I got to go to an amazing show on the tour at Molson Park in Berrie, Ontario.
