Ten days out, no timetable. This is still actually going ahead, right?

This broken wheel is coming undone.
I hope the stage times work well for me.

I'm really only committed to seeing Mudhoney, Vista Chino and Eddie n' the P-Jamz but I need to figure out what time we're going in, when we'll need to have the kids looked after from and all that jazz.

Literally walking in to the Dustbowl (aka Bonython Park) at about 6.30 and seeing PJ from wherever I can get. It'll be an appreciation from distance, rather than a mad rush for up front. Plus I will get out quicker.
Fuck I'm gettin old.

Ideally I'll be seeing PJ, Mudhoney, Vista Chino, The Drones and Kingswood (who I believe Varis has mentioned).

Re: Big Day Out 2014
What’s in store for the crowds during your sets at Big Day Out?
We’re super excited. The whole band is ready to go and we’ll be playing a full Pearl Jam set when we’re down there. Australia is such a beautiful place, a place where all of us have spent a lot of extra time before and after tours. I’ve done diving off Exmouth (WA)...we’re in the ocean all the time. We love Byron Bay, Bondi and Manly. There are so many great beaches and wonderful people. Everyone is really excited about going back there and re-experiencing the country.
One thing I want to let everyone know… people are talking about us playing other shows while we’re down there but it’s just going to be Big Day Out. So if you want see us that’s the way to do it. We won’t be doing any other shows.

Same in Sydney. No real clashes other than Vista Chino vs Arcade Fire. Vista through to the next round.Birds in Hell wrote:Timetables are up now, Pearl Jam on 8:00-10:30 in Adelaide.

You've made the right choice, LMS.
Mudhoney: 4:30-5:15
Vista Chino: 6:45-7:30
Pearl Jam: 8:00-10:30
Sounds like a pretty good time.

Re: Big Day Out 2014
I wish The Drones weren't so early. Not sure I want to arrive at 215. 430 seems much smarter.
btw, you seem to be doing it right.

Yeah, I'd wander past Tame Impala or the Drones if they weren't playing so early in the afternoon.

Re: Big Day Out 2014
Very impressed that PJ get a full 2.5 hour slot, don't headliners usually just get 1.5 hr at BDO?
And with Blur now not going on afterwards there's no reason they can't play longer (hope they remember they 'owe' us Sydney-siders after 2009's cutdown set
)
Was also planning on the 4pm rock-up, but tempting to head in around 2ish to catch:
2:30 Tame Impala
3:30 Cosmic Psychos or Primus
4:30 Mudhoney
Probably head to main stages after that to get a good spot for PJ and take in Beady Eye and Arcade Fire...

I doubt that would've been the case had Blur still played so, hey, silver linings etc.
