I liked the Farseer trilogy. Tge Liveship Traders wore a bit thin and I can't even remember if I have read any more of hers. Is The Tawny Man Trilogy any good?

You haven't read the Tawny man trilogy? It's excellent!
Fitz and the Fool reunited and all that. It's a much more focused story too, told over the three books. I heartily recommend it.

Her Dragon chronicles are great, all set down in bingtown. Might also be called the rainwilds series.

I didn't care for the Madship books at all, either.

I wiki'd the first tawny man and it sounded familiar. Maybe I have read them. I'll have to dig out my fantasy novels one day. They were boxed in 2006. ;)

Cormac McCarthy’s ex-wife busted after pulling gun from vagina during alien argument

Jennifer McCarthy has been charged with aggravated assault after an argument over extraterrestrial beings took a bizarre turn in Santa Fe, N.M.

The ex-wife of famed novelist Cormac McCarthy was cuffed Saturday after an out of this world argument with her boyfriend turned violent.

The Santa Fe couple was feuding over space aliens when Jennifer McCarthy unholstered a handgun from her vagina and threatened the man, according to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun.

The incident began when McCarthy, 48, started arguing with her unnamed 53-year-old boyfriend about extraterrestrial beings when the discussion got heated and took a bizarre turn.

McCarthy went into the couple’s shared bedroom then emerged wearing nothing but white lingerie and “a silver handgun in her vagina,” police wrote in the probable cause statement.

The woman started having sex with the handgun, her boyfriend told cops, and asked him, “Who is crazy, you or me?”

McCarthy then withdrew the gun and pointed it at her boyfriend’s head. The startled beau grabbed the piece and chucked it in a toilet to keep McCarthy from shooting him. She found the Smith and Wesson, her boyfriend again took it from her again then threw the gun in the trash outside before calling cops.

We read that book in a class I took. The professor knows him and he was supposed to visit our last class but got held up in NYC during one of the snow storms last semester.

Anyway, fantastic work in there. Enjoy.

Weird, something similar happened here, he was supposed to read in Memphis but it got canned. During the summer though, so probably not snow. I'm one book in and really enjoying it. Who's your professor, by the way?

His name's Dan Chelotti. Great guy. He'll even review pieces I'm working on outside of class.

It was weird to be reading Grantland and stumble across a review of his latest book. It made me realize he's kinda big time now. http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospect ... you-and-x/

Just finished the Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, following a recommendation. It was good. Bit safe compared to what I usually expect from him. But a good read.

Going to give Trudy Canavans magician books a go next.

Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem.

I bought this thing like a decade ago and never got around to reading it for some reason. About time, I suppose.

Reading Bill Bryson. He's such a great writer :)
Going into his Shakespeare book. See if his humour can make a few chuckles happen in such a daunting task.
