when i was a kid, my parents bought a camaro, and it must have come with the top gun soundtrack. the speakers were on either side of the little backseat, so when danger zone started, it was about the most fucking awesome thing ever. the whole soundtrack kicks ass. and it finishes with the epic instrumental theme. back in college, i'd crank that song (or cashmere) every time my roomate went into the can to take a shit.

Two of my all time soundtracks. I've probably said it before but Dead Man is an essential bedtime album for me.

At the time the Hype soundtrack came out I didn't really appreciate the Lanegan or Posies songs but they are a couple of the strongest on there and have such a great melancholy vibe.

Do you think that kid (who's probably like 40 now) still puts earplugs in his nostrils? I do. That kinda shit never goes outta fashion.

Did they ever track down this guy? I'm not sure if it was a forum thing or one of those "where are they now" page fillers for entertainment media but I remember something about a search for nostril plug guy.
