Sweet jeesus, two songs from B/S and you've overlooked the entirety of Binaural. :?

PryTo wrote:Glad to see Down and Sad made the list in that article. Two of my all time favs. I like Binaural and Riot Act plenty so ten songs would be a breeze. Throw in Lost Dogs and you've got a nice collection of tunes. I think it would be a bigger challenge to find ten songs from the last three albums that I really love. There are a few, but almost none that top what's found in the the Vs-Riot Act run.
Thanks - yeah it was difficult to find some. LB i think has stronger songs than the previous two (but also some of the worst ever so go figure) But Binaural-LD is just top notch. It wasn't until they ditched SONY that things started going elsewhere

Thanks! It was tough believe me. Love Cropduster, Sleight of Hand. I thought Got Some was a nice catalogue addition too. Education and In The Moonlight are faves of mine, but i wouldn't necessarily call them the "best" - not top 10 anyway

Undone was one of my favorite tracks. Between that and Down, what a different record RA would be

You can make an argument for any of these. S/T i struggled with, because as an album, a collection of songs out togetehr, very good stuff. But listen to any individual song outside the context of the full album, that's where it starts to lose me. Severed Hand and Life Wasted being the exception. Meanwhile LB has Getaway, Pendulum, Sirens, Infallible, MYM, YM, MFS, all great songs OUTSIDE the context of the album as a whole which overall i thought got brought down by the really weak tracks toward the end.

Great topic.

Going back to the list I created using the tool at pearljamsongranker.com - I came up with this (I'll go to 12):

1. Love Boat Captain (Riot Act, 2003)
2. Unthought Known (Backspacer, 2009)
3. The Fixer (Backspacer, 2009)
4. Let The Records Play (Lightning Bolt, 2013)
5. Down (Lost Dogs, 2003)
6. Sirens (Lightning Bolt, 2013)
7. Love, Reign Oer Me (Reign Over Me, 2007) <- if you count this, that is
8. You Are (Riot Act, 2003)
9. Light Years (Binaural, 2000)
10. I Am Mine (Riot Act, 2003)
11. Of The Girl (Binaural, 2000)
12. Save You (Riot Act, 2003)

Could you make a ranker for 2000s songs on your website?
