Kaepernick's accuracy is going to have to vastly improve if they're going to beat the Seahawks.dkfan9 wrote:Didn't get to see the first half, but I don't think anyone's going to beat a 49ers team that plays like they did in the second half (and the roughing the QB call on Skuta was BS, but in the end it didn't matter). It's just a question of whether they can play that way in Seattle.

Agreed, there's some nasty history between the Raiders-Patriots from back in the 70s and 80s when the Raiders benefited from a truly bogus call.Green Habit wrote:Perfect.Green Habit wrote:I'll just briefly add that if the 49ers win tomorrow, Raiders fans will be staring at one of the absolute worst four team combinations imaginable for the the championship games from their standpoint.

Should be a great weekend of games. You really can't ask for more.

This past weekend's slate of games were kind of a snooze. These will be the conference championships I wanted though.

Here's another question: What match-up does the NFL prefer for business reasons?
I gotta guess NE-SF, as you get two of the Top Six media markets in there, plus the Brady plays his favorite team storyline to tie Montana with 4 rings.
Still, I really, overall, don't see a bad match-up for any scenario....

Yeah, it's either Brady or Manning against an NFC defensive juggernautCoach wrote:Here's another question: What match-up does the NFL prefer for business reasons?

Agreed. I watched that Colts game in horror. It's not like Denver's defense is really any better than Indy's (though being at home can help, as we saw Sunday). I don't even get how NE does it. They've lost all their good players and they still just execute perfectly on both sides of the ball.Green Habit wrote:I would not be so defeatist, friend. I don't know, but if Manning isn't in the superbowl, then fuck it. I hate the NFL.

I think any matchup between these 4 teams will be good. The two week wait between this weekend and the SB will be horrible though.

Re: 2013 NFL Season
I should do some research and figure out if there's ever been another year where all four teams have a head coach that's been in the SB before.Monkey_Driven wrote:I think any matchup between these 4 teams will be good. The two week wait between this weekend and the SB will be horrible though.
EDIT: shit, nevermind. Why do I always think that it was Carroll that coached that 1996 Patriots team?

Manning is the only one of the four QBs left that wasn't drafted by an MLB team. #funfact

NE has proven they can win anytime, anywhere. Anyone that thinks they're playing over their heads hasn't been paying attention the past 10 years.
