A friend recorderd it and has HBO, that's why I have to wait, Lenny.
Sounds good, fellas. Yeah from the reviews they said that the first three episodes are slow going, but everything feels ominous.
Only 8 episodes. But if they are successful they're going to continue with new seasons and new stories. As much as it's good to see new talent, it'd be cool if they got big name stars for each season.
The first episode was very good. Don't exactly know what they are setting us up for, but the sense of doom and dread is overwhelming. Love the setting. The shots of the shithole town where they work remind me of a couple of towns I lived in as a kid. And the religious/occult imagery is creepy as fuck.
Mud, Dallas Buyers Club, Wolf of Wall Street, this... McConaughey has been money in the bank. Not sure I've seen him play this type of character before.

The most striking thing was how desolate everything was. Even in the overhead shots you never saw people walking, or mowing the lawn. Just so eerily quiet.

I like the way that sounds. Did you like it? I'm watching it tonight.

Yeah, but my admiration of character driven cop shows is well documented.
