The Celtics have traded guards Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks to the Golden State Warriors, a league source tells the Globe's Baxter Holmes. In a three-team deal, the Warriors will send point guard Toney Douglas to the Heat, while Miami sends center Joel Anthony to Boston. The Celtics will receive a projected future 1st-round pick and future 2nd-round pick in the deal.

Rajon Rondo's impending return and Boston's rebuilding plans made Crawford expendable. When Rondo returns, he'll join a backcourt rotation of Avery Bradley, Jerryd Bayless, and Phil Pressey. Crawford, who is making $2.16 million this season, averaged 13.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in almost 31 minutes per game this season will the Celtics. Brooks has seen very limited action since being traded to Boston over the summer.

After figuring heavily in Miami's rotation three seasons ago, the 6-foot-9-inch Anthony was averaging 3.1 minutes per game for the Heat this year. He is owed $3.8 million in salary next season.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, if the Sixers don't make the playoffs this season or next, the first-round pick turns into two second-rounders.

The news that Crawford was on the block, was first reported by New York Post columnist Peter Vecsey. In a tweet very early Wednesday morning, Rondo's impending return.

I like this trade a lot for the Warriors. Their bench is often terrible so to get Crawford who can get hot without sacrificing a pick or taking on too much salary is great.

Crossing my fingers that the draft pick for the Celts is in the first round....

The conditions of some of these traded picks confuse the hell out of me.

Does anyone ever play around with the Trade Machine or Mock Lottery on ESPN?

I messed with the trade machine a few times last year. It has a flaw or two but otherwise it's pretty neat. If I remember correctly, it doesn't take into consideration if a team has any trade exemptions. You can look that up on your own but I think they should upload that data into the program. Or at least they hadn't as of last year.

Warriors. Grizzlies don't have enough shooting (killed them against the Spurs in the WCF). Rockets don't have enough perimeter defense.

Honestly, I think we're looking at an OKC or Spurs matched up against Miami or Indiana.

The Pacers. They had a fairly large lead at one point (16 points) and the Warriors climbed back and made it pretty competitive. The Pacers are a regular season juggernaut this year. Winning at the Oracle is no small feat when the Warriors are engaged.

Well when an organization signs a player and part of the agreement is that they have to sign that players no count brother also..............and the franchise actually does it.............you get a horrible stinky ass organization with trash teams. It's amazing any professional franchise would do something like that but the Knicks did it. They get 15 men to put on the roster out of all the basketball players in the world, and they used one of those 15 spots for a brother of a player.
