Tons of bands have been doing that. Steely Dan just recently played four nights in New York and each night was a complete, different album. I suppose you bought your tickets depending upon which album you love the most.
Pearl Jam could do that, but the idea has now become so common and trite, I don't think they would.

I choose not to see the band playing weaker new material in a 20,000 seat cavern surrounded by "fans" shouting for "Even Flow."
You may enjoy that experience, others may, too; but I do not. I saw Pearl Jam live at a very good time in their career and I am happy I did. This is really not a controversial position I am taking.

I'm not going to sit here and defend modern day Pearl Jam, and I get that the band's peak has long since passed. But if you saw them in 1991 with a few thousand people, and then refused to see them ever again because it could never top that, you've completely missed out on the best periods of Pearl Jam as a live act. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't think their live performance peak happened sometime between 1994 and 2000.

Plus 2003-2006 still had more than a handful of shows that could stand up with this peak period
basically what we as a forum are saying, Wishlist, is that in a misguided attempt to not have your Pearl Jam live experience diluted, you actually missed the best part. you were, in the end, foolish and impetuous.
