Let's be honest, guys. This Wishlist cat is just a more extreme version of us.

Of course I am extreme. I take my music seriously. I am very passionate about my music. That's why I won't attend a show at Giants Stadium and be surrounded by "fans" who think Eddie is still wearing the brown jacket from the "Jeremy" video.

I know true Pearl Jam fans get it. It is actually one of the things that make the band what they are -- their real fans are real extreme and passionate about music. And many of us play music. Before "Backspacer" came out I saw a photo of the band in the studio recording the album. I spied in the corner of the studio a 12 string Rickenbacker. WHOA! A 12 string Ric is going to be on the new Pearl Jam album! Something as simple as that excites an extremely passionate music/Pearl Jam fan.

I have a feeling Katy Perry fans do not give a crap about what instruments are in the studio. Instead, they are into what color Katy's hair will be in the new video. And believe it or not, when you go see Pearl Jam at 80,000 seat Giants Stadium, chances are pretty good you'll be sitting amongst some Katy Perry fans. I won't go.

The more I think about it, the idea that Wishlist left a Wings show in 1976 and his first thought was "Man, I wish I caught him at the Cavern Club in '61!" is one of best things I've read on the internet in a long time.

You can't always accept crap that the man gives you. Pay your hundred doallars to attend an arena show, hand your ticket to the man, head to the escalator single file with all the others like robots.... Draw a line, kid, and say, "No." Maybe one day you'll grow up and realize that. Draw a line. Stand for something. If you can't even make a sensible choice about attending concerts, then God help you. I pity you.
