It certainly was with Boeing / Aerospace. Thus, the line "please forgive our hometown."

Lightning Bolt, the song,is winning me over, specially live. The New Orleans version is really good, the last part goes on in full jam mode, and i have been missing that from PJ in their last couple of albums.

They fucked it up in the album version with that fade.

I have the feeling the song is building just for that jam at the end. And, wtf, the left it out in the studio version.

Id be OKAY with the fadeout if the climax of the song wasn't all watered down with BOB's "plink plink plink plink" piano playing Fucking crank those goddamns up and let Pearl Jam be pearl jam.

I still enjoy Mike's lead part at the end of that song but it should have two go-arounds rather than one.

it should have gone into a jam like the live versions.

I like the effects and feel of the l-bolt stuff, Strat. It gives it a classic rock feel.

Yeah, I don't mind it; sounds like a blatant tip of the hat to Springsteen's 'Born in the USA.' The studio wizardry is totally annoying on other places in the album but here it's OK.

At the end of the song Lightning Bolt you mean? That's Stone isn't it?

I just assumed it was Mike because Mike generally plays lead. I like that part anyway.

It's a good run. They really should have had a jam outro on that song like they do live. It's a joyous part of the song!

that Stone riff reminds me of an end to a Beatles or Wings song, I can't put my finger on it, or maybe CCR?
