Train Dreams is gorgeous. I think I like it better than Jesus' Son, even. Also, I was hugely underwhelmed by Lethem, but I've also wanted to give Motherless Brooklyn a shot.

My friend who put me on Johnson raves about Jesus' Son. I need to give it a try.

I really love Train Dreams too. I'm not sure how I feel about Tree of Smoke.

I would even admit that what Jesus' Son does is probably more striking that Train Dreams, but I enjoyed the experience of being inside Train Dreams more.
