I have written up a helpful guide for you.

"Experimental"= "funny-sounding".

There. You have completed your one-day training course. Now you are ready to go off into the world and be a music journalist.

is it true they changed the song (just for Val) to:

"nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh The Bat Man"?

Well, I got the nose all wrong, but the nipples seem to be right. I'll just put it on the internet.

I think of it not in comparison with other bands, but in a strictly Pearl Jam universe. The further it strays from the typical Pearl Jam sound, the more experimental it is. But best does not mean weirdest or furthest away from the sound. Best means the best song out of those where Pearl Jam have stepped out of their comfort zone.

what's their comfort zone? totally serious question, not sarcasm
