I really dig LBC and feel like it encompasses the sound and feel of what I imagine it felt like to be present for Roskilde. If that makes sense. ?

I don't mind the lyrics either.

Is Boom underrated? Is he unremarkable? I'm no expert. No one ever talks about him, and he's never recognized as a "member" of Pearl Jam (except at live shows) despite playing with them te last 10+ years. What gives? I love his organ or keyboard or whatever the fuck. Great compliment to the band and their sound on RA.

I agree with this completely. I'm one of the bigger Boom fans here.

I love his little touches on Save You, too. Riot Act will continue to grow on me, I think, for quite some time. There's just so much to take in, from start to finish, and from inside to outside of the sound.

Or it can do well as a backing instrument, if it's used to support other instruments playing elaborate or subtly twisting parts. Would you say they've always been like that? I'm asking because i think they weren't in the past and it's the main reason why i'd much rather listen to their earlier music. In My Tree is an example of this for me. The individual parts are very simple but together they create something i find much more interesting and enjoyable to listen to than their recent stuff even if they feature a part than on it's own might be interesting.
