Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I don't think I've weighed myself since about 1997.
I burst a pair of pants last week so it's probably something I ought to consider doing.

my mom did weight watchers two or three years ago, and it's had positive long term effects on the family dietMonkey_Driven wrote:Keep up the good work folks. My wife went on weight watchers a few years ago and lost about 40 pounds. I didn't really need to lose anything but her cooking and grocery shopping has definitely helped me stay at my current weight and I feel better after meals.
Lots of fruits, veggies, and lean protein does a body good apparently.

Yup. She's not on it anymore, but she hasn't put any weight on. It really teaches you the value of fruits, veggies, lean protein, and portion control.dkfan9 wrote:my mom did weight watchers two or three years ago, and it's had positive long term effects on the family dietMonkey_Driven wrote:Keep up the good work folks. Portion control has been the biggest change for me, for sure. I haven't even fallen into a regular exercise routine yet, but the lbs are falling off and I feel much better than I have in a long time.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yup. Hey, so I've lost a bit over the last year or so.
Posting this makes me feel like a rampaging egomaniac, desperately seeking validation from the internet, but oh well.
