I do have one similar PJ release ... I've never watched Live at the Garden.
1. I have seen "Live At The Garden" and it is very good. You are in for a treat.

2. You get what I have done. With that unlistened to pearl Jam album, yes, I do have a nice little unopened Christmas present to one day open. I also have saved a single Clint Eastwood film I have never seen to one day watch, and about five Shakespeare plays that I have yet to read. They ain't making those anymore so it is a fantastic feeling knowing that I have these treasures awaiting me.
Once again, yes, an entire Pearl Jam album is just sitting there unheard by me. That's a cool feeling.

Thanks.

I have done this with a few things. A Clint Eastwood film, a Kurosawa film, a Speilberg film I have never seen... I figure it this way, one day those men are not going to be making films anymore (Kurosawa has died so he sure is finished directing films), but for me even after those artists are gone, I will still have some new material of theirs to enjoy. Do you know how cool it is to have an unseen Kurosawa film from his most celebrated era that I have yet to see? He may be gone, but a film of his from the '50s will be like a new release to me. It has been sitting on my DVD shelf for a decade now.

At the same time, you never know when your last day will come. Do you have a date set to listen/watch each of these things?

I really don't understand the appeal of withholding experiences that you are looking forward to, either.

I haven't watched any Breaking Bad, even though i want to, but it's not because I've chosen not to, it's because I never found the time and didn't want to half ass it.

If you have time to do something that you want to do, it's something you are looking forward to doing, just do it, man. Life is too short to save up.

Read a couple of those shakespeare plays, watch those movies, you'll be glad you did. You can always find something else to look forward to.

Also, as a side question (this maybe has already been covered)- Does this mean you've never heard any live shows that contain any of the S/T tunes? Do you put your fingers in your ears when they play something off the album? Or do you just not listen to any live PJ from the last 7 years?

Answered the live question already: I don't go to live Pearl Jam shows anymore. Sitting in 80,000 seat Giants Stadium is no way to see a live Pearl Jam show...especially for someone like me who saw Pearl Jam in 1992 before they broke as a band.

As for putting something off... Well, what is one thing that makes Christmas so special? Answer: the fact that you have to wait for it. If Christmas was every Saturday, who would care? Putting things off enhances the experience.

Whatever floats yer boat, dude. You sound super cool, especially since you saw them before they broke. Congrats to you.

I am going to take your advice and begin putting off sex. It will enhance the experience if I wait for it for like years. Sounds like a great idea.

Especially because you would be looking at an empty stage and probably couldn't hear the band from whatever NY/NJ venue they were actually playing.

1. Yes, I am super cool. Thanks.

2. Not such strange advice when it comes to S-E-X. Me and my girl put off sex for a week before we went on a vacation to Las Vegas. When we got to Vegas the experience was a thousand times better.

No, no, no. Dude, you missed out. Sex is so much better if you're lucky enough to do it early in a small gambling town. Best sex of my life was on reservation casino land and I would never have sex in a gambling city bigger than Reno or Atlantic City!

Make sure you're not planning to have sex when you decide to listen to S/T.

He doesn't have sex anymore now that everybody else knows about it. It was so much better before it got really popular.

Only a week. Pffft.

I am going to put it off for a year, since then it will be 52,000 times better. 52,000 thousand times better will be much more enjoyable than only a thousand times better. Those promise ring teens really know what they're doing.
