I'm going to get some carryout pizza on the way home tonight and then not open it. I'm sure it will taste all the much better if I wait until Saturday to eat it. You know, so I can build up a little excitement about it. I'm really going to be happy tonight and tomorrow that I have that pizza to look forward to on Saturday.

You know what? Shit, I'm going to wait until Sunday. That'll make me really excited!

Why? Did he practice enjoyment abstinence, too?

I really hope this thread turns into people going down the enjoyment abstinence route and trying to one up each other...

The quickly read that and thought you were inferring some type of autoerotic act of tying each other up and abstaining from enjoying it.

Bad analogy, kid. Food will go cold and bad.
I see you are trying to be humorous. Word of advice: unfunny people should not try to be funny.

This comment made me split my sides laughing, and I mean that absolutely genuinely.

Pizza and Chinese food usually tastes better way after the fact.

Thank you sir for the advice.

And I appreciate the insinuation that I am young. Makes me feel peppy.

Exactly.

I don't know why it was just assumed that I was being facetious. 2 day old pizza is the tits.

No problema.

And don't take it personally. I see it happen all the time. Drips like you without any personality trying to be humorous just leads to disaster. It is sad sometimes (like your pizza analogy). Just don't try to be funny again and you should be alright. You just have to realize that some people are born with a sense of humor (Richard Pryor, Jerry Seinfeld...) and some people are not (Adolf Hitler, you).

I got married. That involved abstinence as well as enjoyment abstinence.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

I just think, you know, if you're going to offer a comment like that, try to prove you have the upper hand in the humour department.

Fries though. Or anything potato based. Does *not* reheat well or is even edible, after the fact.

I had a mashed potato and fried egg sandwich last week.
That was odd.

2 day old tater tots are not the tits. Certainly.

I love fried egg sandwiches, though, too. Not so sure about the mashed potato topping, but fried eggs on bread with a little cheese, mayo, scrumptious. Not odd at all

Get some chunky chips and good bread and lots of butter.
