They always made fun of other people self-destructing. This is a pretty scathing indictment of some of their peers:DeLima wrote:Do they, Matt?DeLima wrote:Yeah, they should probably be in there. Yeah Into Your Shtik I know. But Mark Arm was a junkie for a while, so it's not like he had no experience with self-destructing.matt reeder wrote:They always made fun of other people self-destructing. There's nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. Mark Arm was always far less self-absorbed than his contemporaries when it came to writing lyrics - even when he wrote about himself, he always wrote about feeling alienated from other people who weren't as cool / were weirder / weren't as weird / etc as him. In fact, I swear to god he's written more songs in the 2nd person than anybody else I can think of.DeLima wrote:Yeah Into Your Shtik I know. Yeah, I was in the front row of this club. They were playing "Fix Me" and Mark always looks like that when he's doing old punk covers. I doubt he even noticed me.DeLima wrote:That's pretty up-close

Lanegan is the biggest most pretentious poser of that generation of musicians.
He's really not even any good at convincing himself.

5. If I Think
6. Sweet Young Thing (Ain't Sweet No More)
7. Touch Me I'm Sick
8. Where the Flavor Is
9. I Have to Laugh
10. Mudride
11. Inside Job
12. Let's Drop In
13. Into the Drink
14. Who You Drivin' Now?
15. Get Into Yours
16. Hard-On for War
Encore:
17. Here Comes Sickness
18. In 'N' Out of Grace
19. Fix Me
20. Hate the Police
Ahhh...memories.
