Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Does it blow anyone else's mind that he manages to have such a unique harmonica sound? You can pretty much always tell when it's him on someone else's track (like on Chaka Khan's cover of I Feel For You or Elton John's I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues).

Yeah, he doesn't play like like anyone else. As far as I can tell, lots of single-note soloing over and above chords.

Not sure I've ever heard a singer sound so unabashedly happy as in "Isn't She Lovely?".

Even though they're pretty schlocky, terrible songs, I find myself having warm, fuzzy memories due to I Just Called to Say I Love You, Part-Time Lover, and That's What Friends Are For when I randomly hear them once every few years. They remind me of being really, really young (like three or four) and living on the south side of Chicago. I'm fairly certain that after Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder was the second musician I was "aware" of.

That song is so good that it almost makes me want to reconsider my cold-hearted, cynical views on having children.

If I knew I'd get a song THAT good out of having kids, I'd be tempted...

It's fucking amazing. The best song ever to appear on so many Terrible Song lists.

Kaius, do you still just have that first batch of albums I linked you too? I can link you to the other stuff I've been uploading for harmless if there's stuff up there you need.
I have all of the stuff you linked me too.

Yeah, I don't get why it's such a target. It's musically glorious. I'm probably as cynical about the idea of having kids as anyone in the world, but that song melts my heart and makes me ridiculously happy. It's like a technicolor explosion of joy.

That's the spirit! I just finished For Once In My Life (which I'm uploading for you as we speak). I might give My Cherie Amour a listen now.

My Cherie Amour is such a beautiful song. It feels almost like a hazy, wonderful, pastel & gray dream.

The section on the bootleg when they go into big band/jazz is an absolute delight!

Also, do you think I'm right in my thinking that some of the jokey singing during that bit is mocking white jazz singers? That's what it sounded like to me. LOL.

Yes, it's really brilliant. Also the cover of the Beatles song.
