Attendance was 19,000. According to AJ Maddah (via twitter) the "$100 tickets made jackshot difference."ridleybradout wrote:I'd be pissed if I bought tix to Perth BDO just to see PJ - Facebook post tonight by Big Day Out's official page:One last ditch attempt to soften the blow of financial ruin. After announcing this week that 2014 is the last year for Big Day Out in Perth, we are extending a warm invitation to Pearl Jam fans to come down to Arena Joondalup tomorrow, Sunday February 2nd, where all tickets purchased at the gate after 6:00PM will be available for $100 all inclusive.
This is the first time Pearl Jam have played a festival in Australia, and with a cracking 2.5 hour full concert set lined up for tomorrow, it's not one to be missed!
Varis my good man - I would totally go tomorrow if I were you, it's basically an ol' fashioned arena show

I predict that AJ will sell his share of the BDO and C3 will just bring out the Lollapalooza lineup (or a modified version) for the next three or so years until the BDO disappears up its own ass.

It would be a shame. Does anyone have figures for other Australian festivals and how they're fairing? Is this a trend?zeb wrote:Which would be a shame but nothing lasts forever.

If BDO goes then it means tripping over to Melbourne for Soundwave for me.

I thought it was confirmed that there would be no more NZ or WA BDOs.

Just did some searching and apparently NZ is safe. Well as safe as Aussie East Coast.

Hi all,
As some of you may know from my twitter handle @The_Captain_75, I ran a pitiful twitter campaign to interview the guys whilst they were in Adelaide. It didn't quite work as planned, but this is what I ended up with.
Personally I think its the most insightful Pearl Jam interview ever

I hope you enjoy!!
For the record, the Adelaide BDO looked to be well attended. Certainly there was a good crowd for pearl Jam.
As always the band gave full value for money. They really are the best live band in the World
