I used to have a seedbox account when I was doing a ton of live bootleg collecting and it was great. Your ratios would go through the roof on Dime or Zomb. It seems that a seedbox is one of the few ways you can really jack your ratio on What or Waffles though.
Yeah i noticed a big boost when I was using it on What a while back. I tried going this route bc Comcast was throttling the shit out of my connection when I fired up Transmission. And my wife works from home and requires a consistently strong, constant connection to her work via VPN, so it became an issue.
Chud -- basically another server (usually in a different country) hosts your torrents and does all the downloading/uploading. You then sign into said server via FTP and can download the files to your computer. It's a way to get around throttling and other issues, as well as an alternative to having your torrents constantly running if you need to shut down your comp. The one I found cost about $15/month

Never used a seedbox. I was on Oink and was able to get on What really early, so my ratio has been building since like October 2007. Over the first nine months or so I was using a DSL connection that only got like 60 kb/s download and 25 kb/s upload, so it took quite a while to get something significant going. Luckily, I was part of the vanguard with uploading PJ content over there, so that is what really swelled my ratio to where it is today.
The good thing with people using seedboxes is that many of them have automated snatch settings so if you upload something recent and/or with the right tags it's guaranteed to be snatched at least once. The downside is that once they have downloaded it you can forget about getting any upload credit for that torrent because their UL speed is so high.

Someone hooked me up, but I've been waiting over an hour for the fucking e-mail confirmation. So if I ever get it, I will see you there. If not, it will be just like the last 5 sites I tried signing up for that never sent me a confirmation mail. This is starting to get old, and aggravating. They told me the lost confirmations would stop if I got a gmail account. So I did, and it didn't make a difference.

My computer was running out of space so i deleted some music. Unfortunately I deleted the wrong files. I deleted all the ones that were the seeding files for what.cd. Now my ratio is going to shit.
