How is Pearl Jam any different than Toto?

Sleight of Hand is generally performed quite well, though.

I haven't heard a decent live attempt at Sirens yet. Ed's vocals are invariably warbly and pitchy (even moreso than usual), the mid-song guitar changeovers seem complicated (just ask Ricky Ramone) and the song just generally doesn't seem to come together very well.

I can't imagine it will stick around in future live sets.

Yeah I'm with you on that Spenno. I've only seen it live twice but it never seems to work on any of the bootlegs I've heard either. And it's a real shame, it's a great song.

When I mentioned SOH I was referring to the atmospherics. I'll always prefer the studio version. They've never captured that essence live. Same reason I don't want them to play Strangest tribe.

It did have a huge reaction at my show, though.

Could you imagine the reaction if they went into Sirens and Ed sang "Hear the fuckin' sirens" and then took a huge bong hit?

"Hear the fuckin' sirens, Derek Jeter!"

::takes bong hit, hands bong to shadowy figure who is then illuminated by a spotlight and revealed to be Bruce Springsteen holding the New York Giants' most recent Lombardi Trophy::

"I said hear the motherfuckin' MADISON SQUARE GARDEN SIRENS, NEW YORK FUCKIN' CITY JETS METS KNICKS RANGERS YANKEES GIANTS ISLANDERS NETS SEX & THE CITY SEINFELD TIMES SQUARE ROCKEFELLER CENTER BROOKLYN QUEENS STATEN ISLAND MANHATTAN YEAH!"

::throws bagels and super thin pizza into the crowd while Boom plays an extended organ solo as the arena explodes into the night sky and Pearl Jam disintegrates into ashes which we can only imagine what will rise from::

Now perusing through the Charlottesville show. Just peering into the LB tracks. Its kind of an embarrassment that they (ed mostly) are not nailing these songs . It's their new baby and the album they are touring on and they sound the worst on these....

they are so uncomfortable with the space between these days and it is hurting the songs horrible.

That is incredible. The guitars are subtle and allowing the song to breathe, allowing the song to - be the song.

THere is no "he FUCKING knew by heart!!!"

MIke and Stone are living inside the song and creating it instead of going through the motions.

Whatever, seacrest out.
