Getting mad at me would be a lot more understandable. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get mad at him before though.

I think I signed up at the point where enough other people were posting those that I couldn't tell if it was started by him cause of his icon or if his icon was because of an elaborate inside joke that he may or may not have started.

I just find it lame that a bunch of people who have burnt out on a band insist on populating one of its fan sites to express their cool anti-fan cleverness and receive validation from each other that they are awesome and correct for not liking the band anymore.

Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
It's possible to not like the current material or live state of the band and not be burned out on them. Some people just don't think they're very good anymore. Some of us still actively enjoy a large chunk of the band's back catalog (studio and live) and like discussing/debating them and making fun of each other.
The only reason it's lame is because being on a band's fan site for ANY reason after the age of sixteen is lame. It's not like creating an echo chamber of praise is some great noble cause compared to an echo chamber of criticism.

Still the rowers keep on rowing
And the singer keeps on eeuuueuehh

Is Sirens really all that far removed from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony?
