My friend Karla is bowling for the New York Abortion Access Fund, which provides funding to clinics on behalf of patients who are unable to fully pay for an abortion and are living in or traveling to New York State. I urge you to read this related article about access for low-income patients. NYAAF is also an all-volunteer organization and they rely on contributions from supporters to do this incredibly important work. Please consider making a donation of any size here. :)

I blew out my knee playing high school football 15 years ago, and despite everything being fine after surgery, bowling is the one thing I can't make myself do psychologically. I've tried, and the notion of putting all my weight on that leg and turning scares the shit out of me.

Found the ball, also found my old candelpin set.

Went candlepin bowling with Steve tonight. I beat him 3 games to 2. High game was a 107 and I was the only one to strike.

For all you non New Englanders out there, 107 is pretty damned good for a candlepin score.
