Guardians of the Galaxy
read here for details
from everything i am reading about this film it is going to be a great one. thanos will have more of a roll and apparently there is a the thing at the end of Thor: the Dark world that leads up to GotG.
i liked the original incarnation of this team (yondo, charlie27, vance astro, martinex and starhawk) but this team is built a bit differently and should fit in well with the rest of the Marvel universe.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
Thor 2's tie in, was they gave whatever artifact it was that opened the portal in Thor 2, to the collector, who now has 2 of the infinity gems for Thanos
(I think if im remembering the tease at the end of Thor 2)
this movies going to suffer from the same problem The Wolverine had last year... its the last in line of big summer comic book movies.
Cap, Spiderman in April, X-men in May

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
i think the main problem of The Wolverine was the movie itself. Huge letdown.
I guess this one is still a mystery to me, im not familiar with the comics and James Gunn doing a blockbuster movie seems very interesting, but at the same time that scene from Thor 2 was weird...

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I'm a little worried, though.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
I read that James Gunn wasn't happy with the tack on scene at the end of Thor 2. I guess he wasn't involved with it and didn't think it was representative of the movie he is making.

it really does. i know nothing about these characters and i think that's why i'm more excited for this than any super hero movie. looks awesome. should have the perfect blend of action, drama, comedy.bada wrote:Looks like so much fun. It's gonna be huge.

My expectations had been set by those stupid, stupid 2 minutes at the end of Thor 2, so the trailer actually raised themspike wrote:comedy in trailer seemed clunky. expectations lowered.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
2.5 minutes isnt enough to judge a whole movie.
people are bitching because platts character (star lord) is a wiseass, well he is in the comics too so i have no doubt this isnt going to translate well. they are still laying down vocal tracks hence why diesel and cooper arent included. my guess is drax is the least prostetic makeup hero that has been put out so far as batista is just freaking huge to begin with.
