Re: Masculism
You shouldn't. There was time when we could just post about all sorts of stuff in N&D and actually talk about the world in a consequence free environment, without people trying to be internet-clever all time. The current Alex account, whomever is personning (gender-neutral term for harmless) that thing now, is just a symptom of a change in how people interact online. Short, sweet, occasionally funny blurbs that have little depth or lasting effect beyond that moment's snark that may end up in a sig somewhere. I'm no better or worse, probably worse really, but I'd like to think on some topics and in some exchanges we can still capture that spirit that we once had... back when Presidents were white.Kaius wrote: I feel better

The only time anyone is serious around here anymore is when we're trying to figure out whose gonna date the old ladies.

Re: Masculism
how is relying on a ruse and insincerity not the lamest identity conceivable? that's such a cop-out. In my experience whenever someone is so elusive/insincere that it is nearly impossible to pin-down what they stand for, it usually just means that that person is incredibly insecure. This is the first time I have ever seen someone justify constantly copping out to be a sign of maturity/nobility.

What is this bullshit about people not trying to be serious on here? The problem is that only three variations of the same opinion are actually allowed to be 'discussed'. So you're welcome to it, including your conjecture over my fucking gender.

Sometimes I wonder if there are dozens of posts in these threads that I am somehow blocked from seeing. It's the only way to explain certain responses.

I didn't. I just haven't seen anything in this thread that is even remotely related to that post, so I gotta assume it's there but I am blocked from seeing it.harmless wrote:Cool story. Wow, I'm not sure about anyone else but I for one am really enjoying these lengthy pointless exchanges of passive aggression. Stop being a dumbass, you know which post I was referring to, it was the one where you referred to my gender (and I even said as much, explicitly). Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about just because I've called out your asshole behaviour.

I'd just like to pop in to say I also don't know what you're talking about. Quoting the post in question might help (me)(because that's what's important)(right?).
