Really, though....aside from some terrible attempts at humor, the trailer suggests that this would fit into the Jonah Hex / Hellboy / Pacific Rim category of "I know exactly what I am, and I'm not about to apologize for it" quirk, except for how terribly ordinary the visuals seem to be.

Maybe this is not your type of movie? Tell me that, please.

I'm not saying it looks awful. I'm just saying that it has a nice kind of odd charm to it, but that it seems to be measuring that charm against a need to maintain modern action flick aesthetics. I'm curious about the charm, and not interested in the other part.

I really liked the tone of the trailer. I know nothing about this franchise or these characters at all, but this looks like fun.
