I'm hoping that Rondo gets traded. Might as well truly tank the season and start fresh. I'm not going to get too excited about the rumors, but the reported potential returns for Rondo are, well, fucking sweet.

in the next two years, the sixers should have something like 37 draft picks.
i also expect the flyers to win the cup every year.

Spurs vs. Blazers was a nice watch. The Spurs just keep on rolling without Parker. I'd say Pop is in line for another Coach of the Year award.

Looked like a great game. Both teams are very fun to watch.turned2black wrote:Spurs vs. Blazers was a nice watch. The Spurs just keep on rolling without Parker. I'd say Pop is in line for another Coach of the Year award.

I don't know. He's a legit center who can shoot the 3 ball well. Solid rebounder. Can block some shots. He isn't a great one on one defender, but next to a defensive minded big I bet he wouldn't give too much away. The Rockets would have made sense or as a third big on San Antonio.

The trade was for leverage against Stevenson leaving next year. Turner has a qualifying offer next year. Has very little to do with this year. It's a good trade for them for that reason.bada wrote:I don't like that trade for the Pacers.

If it's only for next year paying a 8 million dollar qualifying offer for a below average player is a bad trade.

No but I would have stuck with him for this season over Turner.

im pretty sure at this point in his career, granger isnt as good as turner. especially now that turner has talent around him. turner was asked to be the sixers best player, he wont need to do that now. i think its a good trade for both teams.
the sixers were also involved in a trade where they didnt give anyone up. im pretty sure ive never seen that in any sport ever. wtf?

Re: NBA Thread
Sixers are under the cap. Thing with Turner is he hasn't shown himself to be an efficient pro. This has been his best year but it was on a up tempo team with him as the primary ball handler. He shot poorly and turned the ball over a lot. Bad defender. As a bit player I don't see him giving punch off the bench since his history is he needs the ball in his hands to put up numbers. Granger might have played himself into shape by the playoffs. He has a history of playing well. Turner doesn't. I get that assets are assets and at least now they get something for Granger rather than letting him walk but the only value I see in Turner is off the court as a trade chip. If they sign Lance they let him walk and if they lose Lance they trade him cause I don't see him replacing that level of production. I could be wrong I'm not rooting against he kid.

Guys, Granger isn't that good. Hopefully the Pacers won't be able to find a role for Turner, but I think it was a good trade for them.

The first 5 minutes of that game last night were awesome. I was actually secretly hoping that the Heat would play the Thunder to a draw whenever Perkins was on the floor to maybe seduce Brooks into being stupid about his minutes if these two teams happen to meet again, but man if the Heat were going to come out hot, that was a heckuva way to do it.

I only watched the first half but Westbrook looked rusty as hell in the ball handling department. He was not ready for the Heat's chaotic trapping.4/5 wrote:The first 5 minutes of that game last night were awesome. Re: NBA Thread
have you looked at the SG market for next year? Or in general? And they don't have to pay him, its on option and might be a better one than signing someone average for multiple years.bada wrote:pnjguy wrote:The trade was for leverage against Stevenson leaving next year. lots of talk about next year.
pretty sure Pacers want to win now...this year. Turner doesn't help much.
