They were by far the better team, they could've easily won 5-0.philpritchard wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:fuck canada

Yeah, that really surprised me. In the third period in particular, Canada just completely dictated the pace.shinkdew wrote:They were by far the better team, they could've easily won 5-0.philpritchard wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:fuck canada

All is right in the world. The upside for Americans, you don't have to get up early in Sunday morning to watch the gold medal game.philpritchard wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:fuck canada

And we don't have to listen to fake hockey fans that have no idea what they're talking about for 4 more years.surfndestroy wrote:All is right in the world. Re: Olympics
Prior to the Olympics if you told me the US and Canada would be the best two teams in the tournament, the US would beat Russia in Russia and have a chance to lock up the Bronze I'd be pleased. I received a great amount of enjoyment watching last week, the kind usually reserved for really good matchups in the NHL playoffs.
They played hard against Canada and Canada is a better team. Congrats.
Shame that wasn't the gold medal game.

I have to admit, I was cheering hard for the US against Russia. US played the most exciting hockey of the tournament by far. I could have graciously accepted losing to them.Electromatic wrote:Shame that wasn't the gold medal game.

Re: Olympics
The US was the second or third best team going in behind Canada (1) and Sweden (2/3). I'm not sure how Russia became some odds on favorite to win. Realistically, they were the fourth best team going into the tournament.Electromatic wrote:Prior to the Olympics if you told me the US and Canada would be the best two teams in the tournament, the US would beat Russia in Russia and have a chance to lock up the Bronze I'd be pleased. Re: Olympics
canada's defense was just smothering after they scored. usa couldnt get a good shot off to save their life, and the shots that hit the net usually didnt result in any rebound chances. it was so frustrating to watch. someone had a real good chance in the 2nd on a PP i think, but that might have been the only one.
wouldnt be surprised if the gold medal game goes into OT at 0-0

Who was the goalie that test positive because of Rogaine? I think he played for Montreal, and it was the first year NHLers played.
