I wouldn't say that I expect more Sonic Youth activity one day but I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if it happens either.
They did manage to make it through a whole South American tour shortly after Thurston and Kim's split became public, I can't imagine it could get any more awkward than that.
From what I've read, the band seems pretty open-ended about the whole thing; I think Lee's most recent answer was (roughly) that more SY certainly could happen one day but the question hasn't really arisen since they're all committed to their own projects currently.

Is it wrong that I hope SY and Fugazi reunite, and that they tour together?

Earlier tonight I pumped ''Sonic Nurse'' and ''Rather Ripped'' while mowing the lawn. Between the feedback and the mower motor, whole lotta righteous noise going on.

Bought this last night.
After being underwhelmed by Thurston's post-SY records to date (even Ranaldo's haven't been as essential as I'd hoped), this is refreshingly solid.
Any fans of mid-00s Sonic Youth would find this very enjoyable, I'd imagine.
