Re: Fantasy Baseball: Mark Bellhorn Memorial League & RM Lea
Hey numbers, a friend of mine is putting together another league and some players from the Bellhorn league are joining. It's similar to what we have going on here, in terms of stats and head to head matchups, but the draft is very different. It's a live auction draft with no salary cap. The kicker is, the amount of money you spend in the draft becomes your entry fee. So if you spend 50 bucks and go billy beane, that's all you pay, but if you go yankees and spend 350, that's what you have to pay. It'll be a huge prize pool and therefor big payouts to the winners.
If you want in, and can make it over to Watertown for the draft, you're more than welcome to join.

Most people scoff at the idea at first, then ask me for more details an hour or so later, and then a little while after that are committed.

I'll consider it, I'm not really sure about an auction draft.

I'm pretty lenient with when people pay up. If you get it to me in the first couple of months of the season I'm happy.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Im pretty sure i can, when would it be due?cutuphalfdead wrote:Can you handle a $100 buy in?

Re: Fantasy Baseball: Mark Bellhorn Memorial League & RM Lea
There are two new teams and the rosters aren't very equal between them. So I'm leaning towards wiping them clean and instead of keeping anyone you'll have earlier draft picks to make up for the missing keepers. This breaks precedent in the league so I'm running the idea by the rest of the owners before pulling the trigger.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:How many open teams are there? do i get to pick which one i wanna take over?cutuphalfdead wrote:Yeah it's a keeper league, this will be our fourth season.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Im definitely in, its a keeper league also isn't it?cutuphalfdead wrote:I'm pretty lenient with when people pay up. I think the previous year's 4th place team should just get access to keep players from those teams.
