His performing is turning to shit because of it, he forgets SO MANY lyrics and can't seem to keep up a lot of the time. He's basically a drunk on the stage. I'm surprised this doesn't cause problems within the band, I'm sure the other guys don't enjoy a drunk Eddie at every concert. Worst of all, I'm losing hope of a decent Black Market Lightning Bolt because Eddie can't remember lyrics.
I don't know, what's the point of being a rockstar if you can't get drunk every show?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Cause forgetting lyrics is something that Eddie hasn't been doing from the begining right?

It probably takes an incredible amount of booze to soften the gut-piercing stab that comes with looking out at an audience so awash in low expectation and easy forgiveness that any attempt to reach beyond adequate is lost on them.

You're onto something here. I think Ed specifically gave up on PJ a while ago, starting roughly when most of the band was on the edge of leaving because they weren't stadium rock enough any more.

Who was on the verge of leaving because they weren't stadium rock enough?

Stone and Jeff said more than once they contemplated leaving the band during Vitalogy and No Code. What they had to say about those 2 records during the Mark Richards interview leaves little to the imagination.

i dont think it had anything to do w/ sounding "stadium rock". from what i remember, they just werent getting the ideas they liked on record.

exactly. Stadium rock is what they were before and what they are now, with exceptions obviously, but that seems to be what they want to be perceived as. "Not stadium rock enough" is their main issue with those 2 records as far as i can tell.
What else do you think their ideas could have been at the time?

If Jeff and stone are the least happy with Vitalogy and no code then I'm now convinced they're what is wrong with PJ. But I could be misinformed here.
