My 9yo daughter has been rocking out to both Taylor Swift's "Never Getting Back Together" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". I haven't actually minded this at all.

I occassionally put Kermit the Frog's Rainbow Connection on mixtapes and actively argue the song's awesomeness with any who raise an eyebrow (and there are always those that do).

Nonsense. That's an absolutely fantastic song written by the great Paul Williams. No one should ever feel guilty about liking it, it's amazing.

I also am one who doesn't believe in "guilty" pleasures as far as music goes, a song is either good or not (imo of course). I put this here as I have often found myself having to defend it. I am very well aware that says far more about my audience's poor taste than mine.

I pretty much follow theplatypus's first point. I listen to a lot of music I know is pretty bad and hard to relate to, but I will never deny enjoying it. I just won't include it in a playlist or play it in company I know won't draw anything from it.

I like everything Blink 182. Side projects, whatever. I can't shake it. They were my first love.
