I always thought TV On the Radio was an terrible band name. And I agree with that verb-the-noun thing.

Paul Kelly's band was once called "The Coloured Girls" but you guys didn't like that very much in the U S of A (and not just because of the superfluous 'u" apparently), so they changed it to "The Messengers". From good to lame, but at least they were pc.

The The, The National, The Band, Television...though to be fair a couple of these probably didn't have the foresight of the power of an internet search browser when they came up with their name.
