Re: Insert Joke Here.
Man, I have to disagree. He is a better runner than a passer, but dear God he is a much, much, much, much, much better passer than Michael Vick ever was. He's gone to the Super Bowl, had record shattering playoff performances, led big playoff comebacks, and engineered game winning drives in multiple road playoff wins. In less than two full seasons. That's more postseason success than Michael Vick has had in his entire life. Or Jay Cutler. Or Matt Stafford. Or Matt Ryan. Or most starting quarterbacks in the NFL right now. The man is absolutely worth more than $18 million a year right now. He is a game changer.Electromatic wrote:Kaep is going to get paid but honestly, I don't see how he's much better than Michael Vick was illegal dogfighting ring and 2 years of prison aside, he's still a better runner than passer.

i still think he's much better than vick ever was. vick was never great at reading defenses, and i think his running became a crutch for him. i think kaepernick's arm and ability in the pocket will prevent his running from becoming a crutch, it will just be another weapon he has. in vick's prime he was probably a better athlete, but kaepernick is alread a better qb.

Dear Darnell,
Please don't give the Chiefs an extra draft pick.
Regards,

EDIT: Yeah, deleting your previous tweet and then tweeting this makes you look like the guy committed pass interference that throws his hands up in the air acting like he didn't do it.

Re: 2014 NFL Offseason
The Falcons have hired an OLB coach, so they are going 3/4. The 6th pick in the draft barring someone taking him sooner will be Khalil Mack.
The Falcons will get an offensive right guard in free agency and probably a large defensive tackle or 2.

Re: 2014 NFL Offseason
If I'm the Texans, I go after Mallet, Hoyer or some other QB via a trade and then draft Clowney.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-foo ... an-mallett
With the Texans holding the No. 1 overall pick, there has been a big debate about which quarterback the team would take in the draft or if it just should go for the glitz and glamour of uber-talented defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
And with the rumors that began to emerge Saturday that Houston might be interested in acquiring Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett, what would that mean for the Texans draft plans? And would they really want such an unproven commodity (even if Houston coach Bill O'Brien knows Mallett from his days as the Patriots offensive coordinator)?
Here's what we know: we know very little about Mallett. Except that multiple teams reportedly were interested in him last offseason as well. Whether it's because teams think the Tom Brady magic has rubbed off on him or they believe in him because Bill Belichick seemingly believes in him, Mallett's potential future continues to make headlines.
But he's thrown only a total of four passes in three seasons, and he's completed one of them for 17 yards. He's actually trotted onto the field in only four games to replace Brady. For a former third-round pick who's been in the league since 2011, it'd be difficult to know less about how Mallett would handle a regular-season game.
Which is why it seems odd that anybody would give the Patriots, say, a second-round pick for the rights to Mallett, whose rookie contract is up at the end of the 2014 season anyway. Unless Houston wants to go ahead with the Clowney pick and make Mallett compete with Case Keenum and T.J. Yates for the right to start at quarterback.
Still, that doesn't make much sense to me. Or to a long-serving member of the Texans beat who likens these rumors to the ones involving Matt Cassel.

Re: 2014 NFL Offseason
Happy new league year.
First reaction: LOL at Raiders for letting Veldheer walk and then sign Rodger Saffold for $8.5 million at year.
Also, I wonder how Joesanity feels with Whitner coming back to the state of Ohio.

Schefter of ESPN speculating Revis ends up with Philly or New England. Now add Cleveland and Oakland to that list. So many rumors.....

Re: 2014 NFL Offseason
What are the odds Philadelphia signs Ware, Revis, and Peppers and we get a Dream Team disaster redux?
