I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of New York Jets fans suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced....

I too, am surprised that he signed a 1 year deal, but moreso that the Pats even offered it in the first place. Given their cap situation I figured they'd go for at least 2 years and push out some guaranteed money later. Still, like I said, it made way too much sense for the Pats to snag him.

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I shouldn't be laughing this hard, because I thought that was a horrible contract to begin with, but still...I'm betting they wish they tagged Veldheer now!

Sigh...it still sucks even when you know it's going to happen. Jets fans should be very happy right now.

Modest moves for the Redskins and I'm OK with that. There is an article in the Post saying they "failed" but the writer, along with all Post sports writers, is an idiot.

Just what I needed. Revis with the pats, ugh.

Golden Tate is an interesting addition for the Lions, as is Verner for the Bucs. Two pretty low-risk, smart deals on good young players.

Sproles to the Eagles puts perhaps the two guys with the fastest feet in the entire NFL in the same backfield. This is making me sick.

They've got Knighton, Sly, and Vickerson at DT, as well as a nice backup in Mitch Unrein. I seriously doubt they pursue Wilfork. In fact, unfortunately the Raiders could use him. Then again, they could use almost anyone...

Mostly a joke, of course. But still, I could see him staying in the AFC, maybe even in the division...old Pats players seem to do that, for some reason (players who are stars or "stars," at least: Law, Milloy, Seymour, Vinateri, Welker, Martin...).
